Sen. Thomas C. Berryhill (Ret.)

Senator Tom Berryhill was appointed by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to State Fund’s Board of Directors in 2019.

Berryhill is a fourth generation farmer, almond grower, and small businessman. In 2018, he was elected to the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors, District 4, representing most of the City of Modesto.

Previously, he served as Senator for the California State Senate’s 8th District from 2010 to 2018, and served as Chair of the Agriculture Committee, as a member of the Insurance Committee, and the influential Rules Committee. He was also Vice-Chair of the Governmental Organization and Human Services Committees.

Elected to the Assembly representing the 25th District in 2006, and serving two terms before being elected to the Senate, Berryhill served on the Assembly Utilities and Commerce Committee and Water, Parks, and Wildlife Committee. He served as Vice-Chair of the Governmental Organization and Human Services Committees.

Throughout his career in public service, he has been committed to ensuring California agriculture and small businesses have a voice in Sacramento.
