Andreas Acker, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

Andreas joined the Executive Committee as a Senior Vice President in 2009. Due to the increasing complexity of his role and strategic importance of his business partnerships with the rest of the organization, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), in September 2014.

Andreas oversees Business Services, Corporate Communications, Corporate Learning, Enterprise Procurement, Government Affairs, Human Resources operations, and Real Estate operations.

He first joined State Fund in 1992 as a Personnel Consultant in the Human Resources Department. He quickly demonstrated his ability to absorb the complex and numerous laws and rules of personnel transactions and soon became a highly respected resource.

In 1999, he was promoted to Staff Services Manager I, and appointed Assistant Human Resources Manager. In this role he was responsible for classification and salary issues as well as supervision of State Fund’s hiring process. He also served as a highly respected and invaluable resource to the Executive Committee.

Andreas was appointed State Fund’s Labor Relations Officer in 2004. In this role he served as State Fund’s representative with CalHR and managing State Fund’s relationship with the various employee organizations representing State Fund’s employees.

In 2006, the Executive Committee promoted Andreas to Human Resources Manager. In this role, he expanded and modernized the HR functionality adding organizational development and learning and development.  

Andreas earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of California, Davis.
