SAN FRANCISCO, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund is hosting a free seminar to help employers learn about the Cal/OSHA inspection process, what can be done to prepare for an inspection, and how to appeal a citation if one is issued. Marty Tamayo, Associate Engineer with the Cal/OSHA Standards Board, will also review Assembly Bills affecting business owners and the consequences of not complying with the standards.
In addition, Michael Vail, Policyholder Ombudsman for the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) will explain experience modifications and discuss 2010 and 2011 experience rating changes.
The seminar takes place June 9 in San Francisco.
Registration and complimentary breakfast begin at 9:00 a.m. at the San Francisco Public Library, 100 Larkin Street (enter at 30 Grove Street), Latino/Hispanic Community Meeting Room. The seminar will end at 12:00 p.m.
