State Fund and Cal/OSHA Seminar in Duarte to Stress Dangers of Heat in Outdoor Work

DUARTE, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation are holding a free local seminar in an effort to prevent heat illness by encouraging employers to protect workers during hot summer weather.

The event is scheduled for June 16 in Duarte, near Los Angeles.

Seminar information and resources will help employers, supervisors, and trainers prevent heat illness among their workers.

Attendees will learn best practice solutions for protecting their employees from heat-related illnesses, and how to update their safety programs to include a heat illness prevention plan and comply with heat illness standards.

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The presentation ends at 11:00 a.m.

The seminar takes place at Duarte Elks Lodge, 2436 East Huntington Drive.
