State Fund Offers Free Pesticide Safety Workshop in Five Points Near Fresno

FIVE POINTS, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund is holding a free workshop for trainers of field workers who have exposure in areas treated with pesticides.

The workshop takes place May 4 in Five Points and will be held in both English and Spanish.

At the close of the presentation, trainers in attendance should:

  • Understand the requirements for pesticide safety training
  • Learn how to conduct the fieldworker training
  • Know how to protect employees from pesticide hazards

Attendees will be added to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation’s list of qualified instructors.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the University of California Westside Research & Extension Center, 17353 West Oakland Avenue. Lunch will be provided. The workshop ends at 4:30 p.m.
