State Fund and Cal/OSHA Seminar in Monterey Park Will Offer Tips on Heat Illness Prevention

MONTEREY PARK, CA --- State Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation Service are holding a free local seminar in an effort to prevent heat illness by encouraging employers and supervisors to protect workers during hot summer weather.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 20 in Monterey Park.

Attendees will learn best practice solutions for protecting their employees from heat-related illnesses, and how to update their safety programs to include a heat illness prevention plan and comply with heat illness standards.

As an added incentive, those who attend the event can receive continuing education credit from Cal/OSHA and the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) toward their Farm Labor Contractor continuing education requirement.

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The presentation ends at 11:00 a.m.

The seminar takes place at the Monterey Park Regional Office, 900 Corporate Center Drive.
