State Fund and SCE to Host Power Line Training

MONTEREY PARK, CA --- State Fund and Southern California Edison (SCE) are holding a free seminar to increase awareness of electrical safety around power lines.

The interactive event takes place on Thursday, August 16 in Monterey Park.

Seminar attendees will learn about:

  • Touch potential and step potential
  • Downed-wire scenarios
  • Safe digging
  • Emergency procedures

In addition, a high-voltage demonstration will be given by SCE linemen who will show safe work practices that can protect both workers and the public.

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 9:00 a.m. at the State Fund Monterey Park Regional Office, 900 Corporate Center Drive. The seminar will end at 11:00 a.m.
