MONTEREY PARK, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund (State Fund) and Cal/OSHA are holding a free local seminar in an effort to help California employers understand the new regulations for the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and how it affects their organization.
The new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is an international initiative to standardize chemical classification and hazard communication. This new system will affect everyone who manufactures, transports, and handles chemicals.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2013, in Monterey Park.
Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The presentation begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m.
The seminar takes place at the State Fund Monterey Park Regional Office, 900 Corporate Center Drive.
