PLEASANTON, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund is cosponsoring a seminar to help California employers develop a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Training for the seminar will be provided by UC Berkeley’s Labor Occupational Health Program and Cal/OSHA’s free consultation service.
All California employers are required to establish, implement, and maintain a written IIPP. An effective plan can save time, money, and lives. At the seminar, employers will learn how to develop an IIPP and update an existing plan.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
The presentation begins at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. The seminar will be held at the Pleasanton Office of State Fund, 5880 Owens Drive. Pleasanton, CA, 94588.
This event is free and open to small business owners, managers, and lead workers in charge of their organization’s safety program. Other sponsors for this seminar are CA Department of Industrial Relations, CA Department of Public Health’s Occupational Health Branch, Small Business California, and California Small Business Association.
