State Compensation Insurance Fund Offers Earthquake Workplace Safety Information for California Businesses

San Francisco, CA — Following the recent Napa earthquake, State Compensation Insurance Fund (State Fund) is offering earthquake preparedness information for California businesses. Despite the risk of earthquake in California, many businesses, especially those not on direct fault lines, may not be prepared for this type of disaster.

As a leading resource for workplace safety in California, State Fund has earthquake preparedness video training and other materials available on its Website to protect employees and property. OSHA also has important tips. Businesses should prepare their workplace by securing large equipment, gather emergency supplies, and have an earthquake emergency plan.
