Hanford, CA -- State Fund offers California employers a free Nut Harvest Safety Seminar.
Kings County Farm Bureau, Tulare County Farm Bureau, State Fund, and American Pistachio Growers are hosting the second annual Nut Harvest Safety Seminar.
This free training is directed toward nut commodity harvest farm employees, supervisors, and growers. Harvest equipment will be included and safety materials provided. Presentations will be in both English and Spanish, with participants rotating between various sessions on nut harvest safety, avoiding heat stress, and the safe operation of nut harvest farm equipment.
Students will learn:
Pre-registration deadline is July 15, 2016. Pre-registration preferred but also available from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. the day of the event.
The event will be held: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (includes lunch)
