State Fund CEO Vern Steiner joined CEOs from around the world Wednesday, April 18, in a 24-hour virtual step-tracking challenge to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Determined to win, Vern was on his elliptical trainer shortly after midnight. He kept up an impressive pace throughout the entire day and racked up an amazing 158,662 steps—79 miles—which put him in first place for the event. The State Fund community was behind Vern, with employees participating in walks led by leaders at different campuses throughout the day on Wednesday.
State Fund has a charitable alliance with the American Cancer Society and participation in events like the CEO Challenge, is a great way to support the organization and promote wellness.
