New Emergency Regulation for 300A Filing

November 21, 2018

The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) has approved an emergency regulation submitted by Cal/OSHA, which brings California in line with Federal OSHA requirements already in place. Effective immediately, certain employers must electronically submit their summary of recordable work-related injuries and illnesses to Federal OSHA annually.

The emergency regulation applies to:

Effective immediately, applicable employers must submit their Form 300A into the Federal OSHA Injury Tracking Application by December 31, 2018. Beginning in 2019 and every year thereafter, covered establishments must submit the information to Federal OSHA by March 2.
