State Fund Launches Telehealth Services

Injured workers can now speak with a physician 24/7/365 from any Internet-connected device.

April 18, 2019

Pleasanton, CA—State Fund announced today that it has partnered with Kura MD, a leading provider of telehealth services, to provide injured workers access to skilled, experienced physicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week from a desktop computer, tablet or mobile phone.

Telehealth services leverage modern technology to improve access to quality medical care and provide a convenient alternative to on-site office visits, particularly in rural areas where medical providers are often in high demand and less convenient to access.

Telehealth services also offer:

“By offering an easy-to-use, convenient telehealth option for our injured workers, we’re providing them a way to access a variety of types of care more quickly and with less required travel time,” said Dr. Dinesh Govindarao, Chief Medical Officer at State Fund. ”We also recognized the need to offer more care options in rural areas that can be underserved.”
