Falls are the leading cause of workplace injury and death in the construction industry. An estimated 200 construction workers die and thousands more suffer injuries due to falls each year.
These facts are the motivation behind the annual National Safety Stand-Down, which encourages employers to briefly pause work to discuss the dangers of construction falls with their employees and provide some additional training.
