New Silica Regulations for General Industry Employers

June 11, 2020

Each year, more than 2 million workers in the U.S. are exposed to silica dust. Exposure can cause an incurable respiratory disease called silicosis. If your employees are among those at risk, there are new regulations that may affect you.

On June 23, new medical surveillance regulations take effect for general industry employers such as those in mining, manufacturing of cement products, and other similar industries.

Find out more about the new silica regulations, medical surveillance, and how you can protect your workers.
