State Fund Seminar in Chico May 7 Features Accident Investigation & Controlling Claims Costs

CHICO/SAN FRANCISCO — State Compensation Insurance Fund is hosting a seminar entitled “Accident Investigation and Controlling Your Claims Cost” as part of State Fund’s Employer Education Series. The two-hour morning session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, at the University of Phoenix in Chico, California.

This seminar is designed to help participants learn helpful tips on the following topics:

  • Accident Investigation:
    • How an effective accident investigation can save time, money, and lives.
    • How to develop a successful plan for investigating accidents.
    • Five key areas to evaluate in order to discover any accident’s true root cause.
  • Claims Management:
    • What to do when an injury occurs.
    • How to handle work-related injuries (forms, timelines, doctors, reporting, etc.).
  • Fraud Prevention:
    • What to do before an injury is accepted.
    • What to do after an injury is accepted.

Presented at the University of Phoenix, 500 Orient Street, Chico, the session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with on-site registration and complimentary continental breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m.
