Winter is the most difficult driving season. The leading causes of deaths during winter storms are automobile accidents. When the weather changes drastically drivers need to change their driving habits.
The featured speaker is Greg Williams of the California Highway Patrol. Williams will discuss the risks of winter driving and provide important tips crucial to offset weather hazards. He will explain how to prepare vehicles for the winter season and how to react to emergency situations such as being stranded or lost during winter storms. Attendees will be taught to proactively tackle the perils associated with winter weather conditions.
“Bakersfield, and the surrounding areas, is regularly impacted by varied weather conditions including fog, heavy rain, and sleet during the winter which can impact driving conditions in seconds,” said Officer Williams, “Being prepared is the most essential component of winter driving and this seminar does just that.”
