Fresno County Farm Bureau and State Compensation Insurance Fund will host “Train the Trainer” tractor safety and heat illness prevention classes for Farm Bureau members on February 18 and 19.
On Wednesday, February 18, the class will be held at FCFB, 1274 W Hedges Ave, Fresno, and on Thursday, February 19, the class will be at the U.C. West Side Research and Extension Center, 17353 W Oakland Ave, south of Five Points.
The tractor safety training program will run each day from 8 to 10 a.m., and the heat illness prevention program from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants are welcome to attend one session or both. Coffee, water and refreshments will be provided.
The program will provide training requirements and hands-on demonstrations for training employees in tractor safety and heat illness prevention. Classes and materials will be available in both English and Spanish. The classes are free to Farm Bureau members, and cost $20 per person for non-members.
