State Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation Service Partner for Free Heat Illness Prevention Seminars

PALM DESERT --- State Compensation Insurance Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation Service have teamed up to offer a statewide series of safety seminars tackling heat illness prevention.

The next scheduled events are on April 28 in Palm Desert.

Information presented during the seminars will help employers, supervisors, and trainers prevent heat illness among their workers.

Attendees will learn how to evaluate their current procedures for effectiveness and receive tips to improve their heat illness prevention programs. Additional topics include environmental and personal risk factors and how to comply with heat illness standards.

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. Presentations will be given in both English and Spanish and will end at 11:00 a.m.

The seminars take place at the Embassy Suites Palm Desert, 74-700 Highway 111.
