SACRAMENTO --- State Compensation Insurance Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation Service have teamed up to offer a statewide series of safety seminars tackling heat illness prevention.
The next scheduled events are on May 5 in Sacramento.
Information presented during the seminars will help employers, supervisors, and trainers prevent heat illness among their workers.
Attendees will learn how to evaluate their current procedures for effectiveness and receive tips to improve their heat illness prevention programs. Additional topics include environmental and personal risk factors and how to comply with heat illness standards.
Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. for the morning session in English, which ends at 11:00 a.m. An afternoon session will be held in Spanish, with registration and refreshments at 1:00 p.m. The seminar will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The seminars take place at State Fund’s Sacramento Regional Office, 2275 Gateway Oaks Drive.
