State Fund and Cal/OSHA Consultation Service Rollout New Agricultural Safety Seminar Series

SANTA MARIA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund has partnered with Cal/OSHA Consultation Service for a series of free seminars helping agricultural foremen and supervisors address safety on the job.

The next scheduled event is on June 17 in Santa Maria.

Dan Leiner, Area Manager for Cal/OSHA Consultation Service, will be giving the presentation.

Information will be provided regarding current laws and regulations applying to the agriculture industry in California. Attendees will also learn methods of hazard recognition and accident prevention, as well as new strategies for implementing an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge, 1309 N. Bradley Road. The seminar will end at noon.
