State Fund Tackles Hazard Communication in Free Seminar

BAKERSFIELD --- State Compensation Insurance Fund is holding a free seminar to help attendees learn how to protect themselves from chemical hazards in the workplace.

The event is scheduled for September 16 in Bakersfield.

In addition to explaining both the five elements and the purpose of a Cal/OSHA Hazard Communication Program, State Fund Loss Control specialists will discuss how to:

    Read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  • Write a Cal/OSHA Hazard Communication Program
  • Label hazardous chemicals properly

Registration and refreshments begin at 7:30 a.m. at the State Fund Bakersfield Regional Office, 9801 Camino Media. The seminar ends at 10:00 a.m.
