Controlling Workers' Comp Claims Costs Focus of Free State Fund Seminar

CHICO/REDDING, CA --- State Compensation Insurance Fund is presenting two free seminars highlighting how an effective return to work (RTW) program and fraud prevention and investigation can help you control your workers’ compensation claims expenses.

The events take place on Tuesday, October 27 in Chico and Wednesday, October 28 in Redding.

Representatives from the California Department of Insurance Fraud Division, both the Shasta and Butte County District Attorney’s Offices, and State Fund will also address the following topics:

  • Hidden costs of a disability claim
  • Steps for what to do when an injury occurs
  • Role of the employer in uncovering fraud

The Chico seminar is located at the Enloe Conference Center, 1528 Esplanade. The event in Redding is held at the State Fund Redding Regional Office, 2175 Shasta View Drive.

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. on both days. The seminars end at noon.
