SAN FRANCISCO --- In response to recent fears of the H1N1 influenza and a possible pandemic, State Fund has partnered with UC Berkeley’s Center for Infectious Disease and Emergency Readiness to offer a series of free seminars statewide helping employers protect their workforces and business operations.
“Flu season has started, and it is extremely important that business leaders educate themselves and prepare for something that has the potential to heavily impact their workforces,” said Chris Kaiser, Program Manager of State Fund’s Safety and Health Services Department.
From Sacramento to San Diego, a dozen seminars are being offered across the state now through mid-February, 2010. Designed for business owners, HR managers, health and safety leaders, and risk and security managers, these seminars will help prepare businesses on key concepts of business continuity and emergency planning. Attendees will learn how to prepare their organizations for the potential impact this flu season may have on their workforces.

The seminars are part of State Fund’s Employer Education Series offered throughout the state on a variety of workers’ compensation topics.
