Ad Hoc Safety and Loss Prevention Committee Meeting Schedule 2019

The Ad Hoc Safety and Loss Prevention Committee was established in November of 2016 to make recommendations to the Board for creation of a long-term and overarching strategy consistent with State Fund’s legislated purpose to help make California workplaces safe.  The Committee will obtain input from State Fund management and expert resources and will consider:

• use of State Fund Loss Prevention personnel, partnerships with other entities, research institutes, and industry groups/associations, plus incentives, subsidization, funding research, and the creation of a State Fund Safety Institute to maximize improved workplace safety in California;
• effective interaction with very small businesses and use of technology and social media to increase awareness of workplace safety for all California employers; and
• measurable outcomes that will be achieved with successful implementation of the recommended strategy.
