State Fund is enhancing our “virtual assistant”, an automated response system on www.StateFundCA.com. Launched in 2019, this system has allowed medical providers to get their most frequently asked medical billing questions answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
On January 26, 2020, this technology is expanding to give policyholders and injured workers the ability to automatically obtain claim number and adjuster information, without having to call the customer service line or log into a State Fund Online account.
This feature is accessible by accessing a button imprinted with “Need Claim Information?” on both the “I’m an Employer” and “I’m an Employee” pages.
An enhancement to the current virtual assistant on the “I’m A Medical Provider” page is a new “click to chat” feature for live online assistance in the event that the automated system does not have the information requested by medical providers. The click to chat feature is available between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:00 pm. Other automated information contained by the medical provider virtual assistant includes:
