Seminars
State Fund offers a variety of free seminars and employer education programs to
support our customers and communities. The Employer Education Series is a popular
outreach program, and approximately one hundred workers’ compensation, and health
and safety seminars are presented to employers and the public throughout California
every year. Our seminars feature internal safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene
subject matter experts complimented by presenters from Cal/OSHA, the California
Highway Patrol, the U.C. Berkeley Center for Infectious Disease Preparedness, The
Department of Health Services, the UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program,
and recognized labor law attorneys.
These free seminars provide information and ideas to help employers comply with
regulations, maintain safe worksites, and protect employees. Effective safety programs
can lead to reduced workers’ compensation costs and prevent hundreds of injuries
each year.
Seminar topics address a variety of safety issues as well as concerns for specific
industries such as:
Agricultural
Business (Office Environment)
Construction
Warehousing
General Industry (Workplace Hazards)
Driver Safety
Heat Illness Prevention
Emergency Preparedness
Targeted Industry Inspections
Throughout the year, State Fund will continue to offer statewide seminars on an ever-expanding
range of topics. These efforts will further our mission to promote workplace safety.
